Bodenznder CG-1

Hello,

Does anyone have any information on the "Bodenznder CG-1" fuze? I believe it is an East German copy of a Russian DK-2 (or DK-4) BDSD (or the Chinese Type-4 clone). Thanks in advance. (I do know that it was used in the East German version of the ZG-2R grenade in conjunction with the AGI 3x 40mm)

Best Regards
Gunner

There whas talk about making a fuze but they didn't.

MADBOMBER31,

Thanks for the information, but now I am totally confused! According to the manual:

Ministerrat, Der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik, Ministerium Fur Nationale Verteidigung A050/1/738 "Brandgranatenwerfer AGI 3x40", Beshreibung und Nutzung (1988) and this web site...:

http://www.rwd-mb3.de/pages/agi.htm

...that is the name of the fuze. Do you think perhaps it could have gone into limited production or is there a chance the NVA just "renamed" the Romanian version of the DK-2/4 fuze as the CG-1?

Another confusing point for me is that the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung sent me some information that said there were three types of the CG-1. Talk about confusing!

Any additional insight you or your friend could provide would be greatly appreciated. I have a book being published soon and want to make sure I cover all of the bases.

On that note, I would like to credit you for the information provided, so please let me know either here or in a PM, on how you and / or your friend would like to be credited.

Very best regards
Gunner

Gunner,

Thank you for the PM. For some reason my computer will not let me write a PM back to you.

Would you mind asking your friend if in addition to producing neither the fuze or the 72mm Incendiary round, did the GDR / NVA ever produce the AGI 3x40 under license or if they simply used them "as is" straight from Romania. If they were produced in East Germany under license, would you also mind asking him what the local designation of the weapon was.

Additionally, please send me the info - that you and he prefer- so I can properly credit you both in the book.

Thank you again and best regards
Gunner

Just to get it straight. Is there any detailed info on this fuze available now?
The round + fuze was definately not made in the GDR but by Romania.
