Can anyone ID what these baseplates came from?

They were found in the UK.

Measurements:
55mm diameter

22mm thick

Filler plug 27mm diameter

They look like base ejection smoke or Illum base plugs from something in a 3 inch diameter, so options I know of are 3" U.S. Navy Illum, and 17 Pdr BE smoke.
 
I've figured it out, they're the bases from a chemical filled Mk VIII British 25 Pdr.
The diameter threw me, because the Mk VIII was the only boat tailed 25 Pdr with a base plate.
