1967, the very end of the Six Day War, a couple of Egyptian soldiers are trying to get to the Suez Canal by walking through the Sinai Desert without food or water https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0090677. They encounter a small Israeli detachment and strike a tense spontaneous "friendship". They march together under the burning sun singing "Avanti Popolo Bandierra Rossa", a famous battle cry song of the massive post IIWW Italian Communist movement. The actors are doing their darnest to make the acting carry the movie.
