From the Ron Hardy collection:
Australian 2 Pdrs - Vickers No.1, Mk II AA - Rounds and Projectiles
Following on from the initial thread just showing the headstamps (http://www.bocn.co.uk/vbforum/threa...Pdrs-Gallery-Vickers-No-1-Mk-II-AA-Headstamps), here are some complete rounds and projectiles.
The photos at bottom are numbered to correspond with the description order noted below.
6. HE Factory sectioned round (alongside similar complete round) - original
Projectile stencilled: ME, 8/45, AN ("ME" is filling factory - Maribrynong Explosives & Pryotechnics, "AN" is Australian Navy)
Projectile stamped: 2 PR, HV, MO, 1T/AN, 3354, 8/45, BS ("MO" is manufacturer Maribrynong Ordnance, Melbourne)
Fuze: No. 243 II, AN, MF, 1942, 687 ("MF" is Munitions Footscray, Melbourne)
Case: MF 1943

7. SUB-CALIBRE Practice projectile with tracer (repainted)
Note 2 nose flats. This may possibly be a UK projectile - not marked
8. Practice projectile no tracer (repainted)
Unfilled hollow projectile with 3 pinch marks at fuze plug.
Flat base, no tracer.
Stamped: 2 PR II/AN, MO, 153, 4/42, BS, P
