Arctic Smoke grenade

I Came across this lately but i can`t find any info about it.
Cardboard sleve to avoid it sinking into the snow.
empty under the plastic lid.

There is a British one with metal spring supports that pop out.
 
I dont have anything on the No1 mk1 only the mk2

Here are a couple of photos of what i think is the latest uk arctic grenade attachment that clips on the bottom and has three small springs that pop the blades out as its thrown…

The US had a similar WWII era item, the M3 Red Smoke. Mine is in terrible shape, with no fuze and some poorly drilled inerting holes, but I've yet to find better. Here is a cropped image from a shelf-shot.
