Ammo box ID needed...

Hi .... Can any one ID this box please ? There is a label about 3 inches square to the top left side on the lid and same inside,, but they have been paint over :( Thanks in Advance..

Hi.. couldn't see anything ,,,,,the wood is T&G top and bottom and the corners are stapled with heavy duty staple that go round the corners.
 
By the hardware, looks like the box for Soviet rounds that I had before my DW painted it dark blue to use as Primitive Furniture. Cheers, Bruce.
 
Can we have a picture of the inside ? and some dimensions? Square labels could be explosive class labels which would help identify the period. Cheers Hangarman
 
Hi.. sorry I don't have the box,, it is in an antique shop :( the lady was most pissed of when I said i'd post a few piccs. was up for 38.00 but would take 28.00 for it..
 
It looks to be a diamond shaped explosive class label as opposed to a square one so I would say it was post 1963, possibly for 105mm rounds. Difficult to be more precise but I wouldn't pat 28 quid for it as a collectable box . Cheers Hangarman
