A large collection disposed of in LA

I expect the 'Super Bacon Cheeseburger' advertised next to the article is more lethal than anything in the collection.

Typical US reporting....always a crisis or emergency. Looks like the owner bought up lots of inerted surplus

Hi Bonnex,
I was looking forward to one of those, if they will supersize it for me :)
Best regards Weasel.

god forbid they explain the the people living near by the stuff was empty, inert or training devices. I'm going to check with the Marine EOD unit that would have responded to see what they found.

the junk was not even in Los Angeles county. It was about 75 miles away in Cabazon, a very small lvillage in the desert. But from what they have shown on the TV, it was inert scrap and even the local police said it was not dangerous. But we need the press to make it a big deal, as usual.

Hi Webereod,
I look forward to finding out what was in there apart from all those gren bodies and stacks of bomb cases.
Best Weasel.

if thats a big bomb then the grass there must be huge. Its probably a solid 25pr practice thats very corroded. HOWEVER she's still stupid.

well she did remember to put something light and flimsy on top, that surely would have saved every one if the wapping great bomb had gone off.

People have strange thoughts sometimes. I had a call once where someone had purchased a house after the original owner had past away. While cleaning out the basement they found a 11 1/2 lb practice bomb. They were advised not to touch and wait for us to arrive. When we arrived they had put it at the end of the driveway, but they covered it with a life jacket for safety.

It was funny in a way that the reporter insisted that the most of the "explosives" were inactive and they couldn't figure out how one could acquire so many "explosives". The one picture that I saw of the Mk II grenades looked to be the cheap knock off repros.
