Decorative brass cannons are usually rubish looking or
copies of an already dubious design made in India and
passed off as old.
This one is decent, I have no idea who made these or where ?
The attention to detail is good and it appears to be made in 1960.
Cast hollow so it could be fired to make a noise.
The barrel is numbered 6 and the carrriage 5 so at least 6 were made,
likely quite a few more. A truely authentic one would be all cast iron of course,
but I can forgive them that. It's large enough to have a presense which
is the thing in decorating, size matters with cannons ~
Then going into the world wide interweb looking for a comparable example I found numerous
knock offs of this, all some what smaller to half this size all with poor by comparison detail.
The worst example was on the worlds worst site to buy anything; 1st dibs ~
