75mm I.D.

Hi Skinnyarty,
I am afraid i cant help you with an id but i would like to say that it looks like it has the potential to be live and from the info given (via pm) it should be treated as such. Best to call the relevent authority in your area to deal with it.
Best regards Weasel.

Your projectile is a 76.2mm Russian projectile most likely produced in the Eastern U.S. during WWII to send to the Russians. Millions of them were made, and the war ended before they could all be sent to Europe.

As WEASEL has said, it has the potential of being loaded, and since it is so rusty, it's almost impossible to know if it is live unless you have someone x-ray it with the proper equipment that will indicate if it has an explosive filler or not.
