57mm 6pr mystery

Can anyone help me with the identification of this projectile please?

Its presumably British (RG and DDL numbers on it).

Other than that I have no idea of age, case type.

I've photographed it next to a Bofors 57mm, it has a very similar profile.

The fuze is a plug type that's been drilled out.

Both items show are INERT/empty etc.

Thanks.

Dave.

You guys have gone really quiet on this one, anyone out there with any ideas?

Just to add to the difficulty I've attached some photos of another 57mm which is a mystery, any thoughts on this one would also be appreciated. The only markings are as shown.

All INERT and empty.

Thanks.

Dave.

Dave,

Your black pointy one has some combined characteristics. The auxiliary detonator that screws into the bottom of the reinforced nose is characteristic of U.S. Navy, while the double rotating band is characteristic of 17 Pdr designs and 57mm Bofors, and the double crimping groove reminds me of the 57mm Bofors.
