Hi,
I picked this up yesterday.
Can anyone tell me please what would have fired this shell? What type of fuse does it have? Where was it made? I'm guessing that possibly the PP/C may be the indication of it's origin.

The diameter across the top is 5cm and it stands 16.5 cm tall. I'm wondering whether this was the original height and it's possibly been cut down at some point.

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

regards

Hi its a Bofors 40mm L60 anti aircraft shell case that's been cut down.
Case length should be 311mm long.
Rim diameter 62mm
If you google it there will be loads of information on the web.
Dave.
