37mm Pak Fuze Question

I was hoping someone could tell me how a German 37mm Pak base fuze works? I think it's a tracer element that burns to the other end of fuze that ignites the projectile charge.

Do you mean the Bd.Z.5103? It works with a broken shear wire throug inertia on impact - a very simple construction. It has no self destruction from the tracer.

Enclosed are some pics of fuze.

Very nice diagrams of the Bd.Z. 5103 Bellifortis.
Where is this picture from? I don't think I have seen it before.

I also think the tracer element might still be present in the fuze.

Definitely a 5103*

I agree Bever, it's a BdZ 5103* and I agree StielGr, tracer is still alive and I suppose the complete fuze also. Take care
