[SUB]I bought this one quite a while ago, I thought it was a Russian 30x165mm but I decided to measure it today and its actually 30x150. It seems to be an AP round. Interested what it is used on, I was thinking the Su-25 Frogfoot but I guess not. Any help would be appreciated! -Rhys

That is a Soviet 30x155B TP Drill Round with an Inert OFZ (HEI) Projectile and a Dummy Fuze. The 184 indicates it was made in the Russian State Factory, Kazan Region, Russia in 1959. Since it was made in 1959, it is the old style without the lead de-coppering wire attached to the base of the projectile. I'm not sure if the primer is a KV-2 or a KV-30. Given it's age, I go with KV-2. It was used in the NR-30 Aircraft cannon that the Russians developed in the early 1950s. It was installed in their MiGs and no telling what else. Hope I helped.

Thanks
....JR

Haha, you definitely helped. I wish it the projectile was not crimped in, then I could see the rest of it, but oh well. Thanks!
