3.7cm Pak box collection

I have just added a very nice 3.7cm Pak ErgnzungsKasten box to my ever growing collection of 3.7cm Pak items. The previous owner really wanted to see all the boxes together so today I thought I would have a go.

The sun was shining today and I had the house to myself so no 2 1/2 year old wee boy running around saying "daddy help" and rearranging everything.

I hope the arrangement looks okay as I went with the first idea for the display that came into my head.

Just beautiful PC,
Now I understand why you have no more space for new purchases.

Yes it has become a bit of a problem but a house move is in the planning and hopefully I will get my own display room. It could be a year or two but I will get there eventually.

I was just amazed that I was able to remember where all the different boxes were stashed away.

Nice collection

An excellent collection SteilGr and thanks for showing them.
Did you get them all in the condition we see or have you done any refurbishment work on them?

well, Paul, all said by the previous speakers :top:

of course your collection really deserves its own room!
if there would be any misunderstandings with your wife, show her this thread.

cheers

Oh it's not all bad but you do hear the odd word that cannot be repeated when she trips over something for the umpteenth time. I just keep saying it will be okay when we move and don't forget I still need the actual 3.7cm Pak to complete the collection.

I really appreciate all the kind comments as it helps to remind me all the good friends I have made while trying to find all this stuff.

Everything is untouched apart from a small brush to clean off some dust.

That leads to what genkideskan was saying about filling them. The first goal is to find items with original paint and writing on the outside and then if I am extremely lucky an intact inside.
Over the years many containers, especially the Pak ammo boxes have had there internal sections removed. I have only one ammo box that is complete and even then the cardboard tubes do not survive very well.

The parts box has some of the internal wooden sections present and I am on a big hunt for the parts to fill it.
