Attached there's a photo with a bit of a fuze left on a 3.7 inch H.E. projectile.
The 3.7 inch was not difficult to identify, but the part that's left of the fuze is an other story.
Can anyone identify that please?

Chris

it looks like remains of a No. 2xx series mechanical time fuze with part of clockwork still visible. But without closer examination and cleaning hard to identify..

Hello Chris,
I think it is Mechanical Time Fuze No 214. We found the sae configuration in Belgium.
Take care, when the fuze is "scalped", like yours, the firing pin with cocked spring is always present, because it is in the shell !

Chris,

It looks a lot like the lower mechanical part from the MTSB 213. See the pic.
