Here i have a nice 20mm x 139mm APDS Round, can anyone tell from the markings who the manufacturer was? Any additional information about this round would be appreciated.

Projectile stamped: 20K DM63

Darren,

The DN stands for: "Diehl Nrnberg"
The round is called a 20x139 HV-APDS or HVAP-DS (High Velocity Armour Piercing Discarding Sabot)

I wonder where this info comes from. It is wrong.
DN is the code of "DIEHL Nrnberg".

The correct German military designation for this cartridge is:
"Patrone, 20x139, DM63, Treibkfig, Leuchtspur, Stahlhlse"

You are correct EOD, it is indeed Diehl Nrnberg. I must have made a wrong copy-paste action :(

Interesting little round.
What would it have been used by? Quite small for an APDS isn't it?
Any more around ;)

Andrew

Most likely the projectile is made by NWM The Netherlands as they made these projectiles for the 20x139.
