For information, the 20x110 UN MK 100 series ammunition was only used in two US Navy aircraft guns of the 1950s: the MK 12 (a modified Hispano) and the MK 11 (a strange twin-barrel revolver only used in a gunpod). The MK 12 was the USN's standard aircraft gun from the 1950s until it was replaced by the USAF's M61 rotary in 20x102, being fitted to several aircraft (although the A4 Skyhawk was the most successful and widely used).
Hi ,
Most of the steel cased mk.100 i've got are RNO 67 to 82 H/S.
The oldest steel case i've got is (NECO 53 ),the next oldest is (IS 55).
The brass cases are made up for use as dummy rounds ,no H/S and the brown dummy is missing the primer pocket, just a solid base.
The HPT is a nickled brass case ,no H/S.
Most steel cases are Kronak or cad plated .
cheers Bob.
