2 pdr projectile & case

Derek

Well-Known Member
A friend gave me this 2 Pdr shell case and projectile but I am unsure if they really fit together?
The projectile minus driving band is marked; VI / N, 2 PDR HV, RSP, T&S, 4/44, LOT 10, TZ, JB. It measures 6.1" in length.

The brass case is marked 2 PR No. 1 Mk II ECC dated 1944. Measures 6.1" in length.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Derek

you have a 2pr British naval pom pom round. case by Edward Curan in Wales and the shell is a practice one, the RSP is actualy BS for for being made from bar steel and P for practice. plenty of posts on the above on BOCN.
