What was the British colour for HE? Or it has the same scheme than the Incendiary one of the pics. First pic taken by myself at Diekirch Museum, second pic from one sold by Mike some years ago. Also same colours than the N 73 AT:

I dont recognise the colour or the cap, but the stencilling and red band look British,and you can see traces of red paint on one of the fins,Some sort of chemical smoke?? if we could see the stencilling better it would help,what are the fin markings?Tig:bigsmile:

Wrong one.
The left hand round shown yellow is a 161 fused HE Round,they were shellac,which is like brown varnish with overstencilling, not yellow. Thats not the one. Mads picture is definitely a smoke you can see the brass insert where the tail joins and the paint is damaged.Does anyone have any pics of smoke rounds used in tank mounted 2" smoke dischargers? Perhaps its one of these? tig:tinysmile_grin_t:

Yes Miguel,the colours match for incendiary,but i have a few 2 inch mortar handbooks and there is no reference to this colour scheme,as previously discussed on other threads there were 2 types of non bursting smoke,and a bursting phosporus round that was obsolete early in the war. Will be nice to find out what it is especially if its British,thats why i wonder if its for possible tank use?? Tig:bigsmile:

It looks like a normal smoke only the colour is diffrend and the top.
