hello,
I know I'm sailing close to the wind with this dug item, but it is NOT Ordnance.... it's part of the gun!
found at Coleshill House, Oxon, England.... but from a German 105mm LeFH18 (ww2) http://www.lovettartillery.com/10,5cm_sightmount_for_sale.html.
I have seen the =V= symbol on german ww2 shell cases.... what does it mean (exact terminology please- writing a report)?
Does the other symbol, eagle over SU(G?), ring any bells?
thanks,
Jim.
