Since heavy machine gun rounds seem to be the theme of the moment, does anyone have an example of this round, the 13.5mm Kynoch?
The drawing is BK82/189 dated 1.5.29 and shows a round with a case length of 4.1 in., making it the 13.5 x 104mm.
I have another drawing dated 1930. Only a ball bullet is shown, weighing 820 grns and utilising the same mild steel core as the 13.2 Hotchkiss. Given that there is an amendment to the drawing of the bullet profile dated October 1930, this seems to have been more than a theoretical exercise.
