What is this one ?
I can't read the label.
(I assume a picture from a Bocn member).

I have got a puff smoke which is shorter than that. I must be a multi star or even a parachute that's if they done them.

I would also like to see the full case print too but it looks like a Smoke Puff cartridge to me.
Usually they are ID by the top-wad and the white or brown squiggle on the case is the smoke colour.
I show some Australian ones but copied from an article I did for ACCA . Sorry I could not show better photos for this reply. Away from the collection.
Yes the early puffs used the shorter 101mm case sometimes with an extra container inside the case .

My Australian loaded Mk4T Brown Smoke-puff uses an IMI case 161mm loaded length and has X1 3/71 near the rim.
I also show a Mk3T from 6/53 sectioned that is 148mm long which has the container extension inside the normal case.

This was mine and I sold it recently. The later cases are bigger than the early ones. I had three and they are all just marked brown smoke puff. No squiggles to the top.

Do you remember the Mk of the flare on the picture (I assume your picture).
