Smart stuff 4

Swingfire rocket motor section, the motor blast pipe for emission of exhaust gases is to the right. The guidance and control section (aft body) of the missile is fitted over the blast pipe. The thin tube to the left diverts propellant gases from the motor to the safety and arming mechanism (fuze), to mechanically arm the fuze. The figures in the black rectangle relate to storage temperature limitations (ie must not be exceeded when the missile is packaged), while those in the circle are the firing temperature limitations (must not be exceeded when the missile is unpackaged).
