Hello... My name is Scott Sawyer and I am a UXO Technician III currently working at the USMC 29 Palms Training Center in California. These are some of the most active live-fire ranges in the United States and are littered with ordnance dating from General Patton's exploits to the latest and greatest. We encounter quite a bit of UK ordnance and am hoping some of you will be able to help me identify some of the older and more obscure items we find. Currently, I am looking for information and pictures of the L106A2. We have found some severely damaged fuzes in the noses of L31A3 projo's but would like some intact pictures for training classes. As soon as I find my camera cable, I will post some other interesting pics. Thanks in advance for the help.
