SPAL = Simulator Projectile Airburst Liquid.An electrically inititiated propelling charge that launches a one litre plastic bottle of simulated chemical agent into the air and bursts it, producing droplets of the liquid. It is essentially a munition used for training. Each of the containers shown (each is missing the screw-cap) holds one device with its attached leads.
